Outfit of the Day #11 / Day 1 of Hijabi Fashion Wk

Assalamualaikum everyone!

Yay! My exams are over so I'll have more time to sprinkle this website with some love, been abandoning it for too long! So to kick start with a bang! I'm participating in Hijabi Fashion Week, an online event where Muslimahs all over the world try to create looks to suit the theme of the day and post their pictures on their respective blogs. From November 27 to December 3, each day has a different theme and for today, its Day 1 -- Leaders in Hijab.

Honestly, its always easy to create looks according to what you feel like wearing on a given day but when given with a theme, I was quite, erm, oh oh, Leaders in Hijab? What do you wear? Haha! Luckily, the official website, offered some ideas. Leadership roles? What leadership roles do you have or want to try?

Easy peasy! Heheh. I'm training to become a Geography teacher, hence, the first thing that came to mind was, ah a look for school! So I grabbed my grey pants (I especially love this one from g2000 because it has this beautiful satiny sheen that my camera didn't manage to catch), light pink satin blouse, grey hijab with pink polka dots and some simple accessories. Though, come to think about it, I wouldn't choose bangles as it will create a lot of noise when I'm writing on the whiteboard! Maybe should have worn just a simple pearl bracelet. I grabbed a simple cropped pink blazer too in case it gets too cold in the office! ;)

Looking forward to create a look for Day 2, hmm, Hobby/Recreation!

Love, Nadia

  1. Well, if you do wear bangles when you're the teacher, at least it'll keep the students awake, right? :D mashaAllah lovely outfit! Love the pants!
